Adrian Furgalski

Director. Qualified as a political scientist. During his studies at     the Jagiellonian University of Cracow he became involved in the field of transport and subsequently worked in the cabinet of the Minister of Transport, Tadeusz Syryjczyk. It was the time when the restructuring program for the Polish railways was being worked out. He specialises in transport policy issues, assessments of the current situation within the branch and forecasts for the future. He analyses the functioning of the railway, road and air markets.

Tadeusz Syryjczyk        

Senior Expert. Ph.D, speciality: IT studies. In 1971-1989, university teacher at AGH University of Science and Technology of Krakow. In the 1980s, activist of the Krakow “Solidarity”. In 1987, co-founder, and since 1990 President of Krakow Industrial Society. Minister of Industry in Tadeusz Mazowiecki’s cabinet. Minister – Head of Counsellors Team in the cabinet of Hanna Suchocka. Minister of Transport and Marine Economy in Jerzy Buzek’s cabinet. In 1991 – 2001, member of parliament. In 2003-2007 – Polish representative on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. His main field of activity in TOR are issues or railway transport in Poland and the European Community.

Piotr Rydzyński
 

Expert. Graduate from the Warsaw University of Technology and Central School of Planning and Statistics (currently the Warsaw School of Economics). Specialist in rail transport technology, haulage forecasting and managing, market analyses and analyses of development plans; analyses of income and operational costs of rail transport companies. In 1991-1993, he was the main specialist in the PKP General Directorate and Poland’s representative on the international committees for the mutual use of wagons; in 1994-2000, he was President of the first operator company of special passenger rail services. He holds a degree of the “Engineer – professional specialist grade I of the Main Technical Organisation” in the repair and maintenance of rolling stock. Author and co-author of over 50 papers dealing with concepts, analyses, strategic plans, feasibility studies and business plans in the field of rail and urban transport.

Piotr Kiełbowicz

Expert. Graduate of the Gdansk University of Technology and the Warsaw School of Economics. He holds M.Sc. degree in transport engineering as well as in economics and management. He specialises in: technical aspects of the construction, maintenance and modernisation of transport infrastructure; organisation and technology of railway haulage;  strategic management of organisations; marketing; creation and assessment of companies’ development plans; financial and economic analyses; capital investments.

 Andrzej M. Maciejewski
 

Professionally engaged with the Main Centre for Research and Development of Railway Technologies (currently the Railway Scientific and Technical Centre CNTK) where he develops and implements modern systems of railway traffic control. He is the holder of more than 15 patents and has published more than 80 scientific and technical works. Since 1993 he has been a faculty member at the Radom University of Technology, focusing on railway traffic control. In 2003 - 2005, he was a railway technology and traffic safety Vice-President in the Office of Railway Transport.

Ryszard Węcławik 

Director of railway traffic safety department in TOR. Graduate of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology, speciality: electronics, and of the Lublin University of Technology, speciality: management and marketing. Specialist in railway market operation. He deals with safety issues in railway transport and the regulation of railway market, market analyses and the economics of railway transport companies. In 2003-2008, Main Specialists and subsequently Director of Transport Economics Department and Department for Regulation of Railway Transport at the Railway Transport Office. In 1975-2003, a number of specialist or managerial positions at LHS. Co-author and author of studies, analyses and articles on railway transport.

Expert in environmental protection issues. Graduate of geography at the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies, with 25 years of professional experience. Since 1991, contributed to or managed the preparation of environmental impact assessment reports as well as numerous environmental reviews and expert opinions. In total, he has prepared more than 200 EIA reports for various branches, including line infrastructure (roads, railways), ground surface, environmental protection (also the Natura 2000 network), and municipal waste management. Lay assessor on the list of the Minister of Environment with respect to: environmental impact assessment and forecasting results of changes in land development plans. Lay assessor on the list of Mazowiecki Marshall with respect to environmental impact assessment.

Graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw and the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies (EUROREG) at the University of Warsaw. Since 2006, involved in the activity of TOR. Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Rynek Kolejowy monthly. He analyses the Polish market of railway passenger and freight transport services.

        Robert Rawski

Robert Lis

Specialist in the field of logistics and technology of railway transport. He deals with technical aspects of the organization of passenger and freight transport in different systems. His main interests include railway passenger transport, urban transport and traffic processes. Additionally he acquire education in the field of quantitative methods in economics and information systems.

Adam Zadroga

Specialist in the field of logistics and technology of railway transport. He deals with technical aspects of construction and modernization of railway infrastructure and solving problems in terms of organization and technology of railway transport. He participates in the development of feasibility studies, conceptual projects, market analysis and strategy in the field of railway transport and industrial sector. In addition, he’s interested in freight rail and the development of transport corridors.

Marcin Marecki

Specialist in the field of ecology in transportation and exploitation of railway rolling stock with ecology way of thinking. He deals with development of feasibility studies, analysis of railway market, transport systems modeling using PTV Vision VISUM software. He’s gaining experience in safety regulations in railway transport, development of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and modeling of transport processes. Additionally, he’s interested in technical methods of reducing emissions of harmful compounds from railway combustion engines, recycling and pollutants emission standards.
